First off, we completed the additional filming required for SkiTips 3 at the end of last season (despite dreadful filming weather – great snow, but mostly overcast or grey days) and the result was the launch of the new App – on Powder and Off-Piste Skiing – in November 2010, just in time for the new season. In addition to the usual comprehensive series of technique instruction, with SkiTips 3 we added two special Chapters dealing with Mountain Safety and introducing you to the world of Ski Touring. Mountain Safety is of particular concern to us as it is to all Mountain Professionals and getting a good foundation in how to equip yourself when venturing away from the managed trails (and, most importantly how to use the kit) should be your number one priority when considering off-piste skiing.

The other major news is that we have totally redesigned and restructured SkiTips 1 – The Fundamentals of Skiing – and we have re-filmed and edited every single Lesson, with new Graphics, new Text and new Voiceovers. SkiTips 2 – Advanced Skiing Techniques – has had a similar makeover and both are now available (as Version 2′s – free upgrade if you already have the App) on the AppStore ready for the new season. All the new work has benefited hugely from user feedback throughout last season, so many thanks to all of you who have contacted us and keep up the good work!
